In 2023, Western PA NECA launched a first-of-its-kind leadership council, called the Industry Advancement Council (IAC), intended to engage and provide leadership development opportunities for existing and future leaders working for WPA NECA member contractors.

Many traditional “future leaders” and “emerging leaders” programs focus solely on early-career individuals looking for periodic leadership topics and speakers. We wanted to provide that resource! And additionally we want to provide a more dynamic and engaging experience that will give Council Delegates the ability to actively develop and practice their leadership skills while giving back to the industry with their unique talents and interests, as well as getting more involved with WPA NECA and the resources that the Chapter offers.

Each Delegate will choose a Committee based on their areas of interest and will work as a team to complete a project that will benefit the Council, the NECA Chapter and member contractors, or the broader Western Pennsylvania community at large.

​Our goal with the Industry Advancement Council (IAC) is to reimagine the traditional “future leaders” program model and create a participant-driven structure to bring you and your employees more content on leadership development, workforce development, new technology, upcoming market trends, and opportunities to give back to our community.
